Perennials for My Front Garden

Asiatic Lily and Shiasta Daisy for my front garden. I purchased this two perennials at Costco yesterday.

My husband pull off and kill most the perennials I planted on my front garden from last year when he did the clean up last month, and I was soooo mad.

Now I have to start all over again and wait for them to grow or will they come back after winter. I hope this time they will come back.

I already clean the front garden yesterday. But it rained when I was about to dig to put these two plants. It's kinda late to put new plants, but I think it will be okey since it's been raining for weeks now. I wanted to put plants before the weather really gets warm.

I still need one bush or trellis flower plant to put in one spot of my front garden. My head is devating whether I should buy another clematis where the flower blooms from spring to fall but no scent, or a Dwarf Lilac for nice fragrance but only blooms on spring, and both are expensive.. Or should I just buy Lavender and Rosemary?? Both are a little cheaper and with aromatic fragrance too that last long.

Ahhhh whatever!!!

Coffee Station for Small Kitchen

I have a small kitchen that's why it gave me the idea of creating this little Coffee Station near our small TV/family room. My kids love it. I also receive some compliments about it.

It actually makes sense to have the Coffee Station a little separated from the cooking area. Not only that it will create more room both for cooking and making coffee, but it makes your kitchen looks more clean and organize.

Just a little creativity, and a small area can be more functional than you thought.

Garlic and Onion for Backyard Gardening

I regret planting only this few Onions on my backyard. I should have put more. I feel so happy seeing them grow so fast. However, I didn't see any Garlic yet or will it ever come out at all. My neighbor said, Garlic hates weeds and this part of my backyard have so much weeds. I am trying to keep it off though.

Hubby and I will put a fence on this part of our backyard and make it a Mini Farm for some herbs and Vegetables wherein I already made and put the wood sign 'Mini Farm'. I can't wait.

This is the part of our backyard where I plant tomatoes, bell peppers and Parsley. These are the plants that don't come back after the winter and I have to start from seeds Indoor.

Some of these Tomatoes, Bell Peppers and Parsley that I started from seeds are already growing so fast. I will definitely plant more next year. I can't wait!!

I have few Lavender and some perennials so hubby and I will put fence to protect them from our dogs on winter when they play around the snow.

And this is the part of our backyard where I have all my perennials.. Some keeps coming but some don't so I have to add every year. We will also put temporary fence on this part for protection

I love gardening. It's a lot of work, but everytime I see all these plants grow plus their benefits, I can't help to always feel excited each year.

Be A Responsible Dog Owner

It's funny how I see some people having cute dogs on FB. Is it because everybody are posting cute breed dogs??? Is it the trend now??? Well I don't see any problem having dogs as long as you know how to be a responsible Dog Owner. At least learn the basic !!!

I walk my dog 10 to 15 minutes in the morning and one in the afternoon. Good for him and for me!! It slows him down..

I also trained my dog 🐶 to poop in our backyard. I use use a dog poop scooper to pick it up. And I have separate garbage can for Dog poop. This way,  when I walk him, he don't have to poop anywhere. But I still  bring poopy sacs when I walk him because sometimes he feels  the need to poop, but it happens very seldom  because he is not use to pooping anywhere!!!

Dogs are happy when you teach them how you want them to live with you.  Be a responsible dog owner. Don't get a dog just because you see your friends on FB posting nice dog breeds.

Easy Small Orange Juicer

I have one fruit juicer which I am quite happy. The quality and amount of juice that it can produce is good enough to put in one pitcher. However, it's  bulky and not easy to clean. With someone who have small kitchen with little counter tops, it takes up too much space. So I have to put it inside the pantry. It's also not easy to clean so I end up being lazy to make Juice using it...

Until I saw this Orange Juicer at Walmart!!

I love orange, but since I stop working full time, I never eat fruits. I guess its laziness. Unlike when I was working, I was force to eat fruit coz I packed them for snacks.

This Orange Juicer is small and easy to use and most of all, easy to wash. You can wash it by hands or put it in a dishwasher.

It can produce one glass of Orange Juice from two orange fruits. It depends on the size of the orange fruit.

Now I am taking fruits again. All natural orange juice rich in vitamins particularly Vitamin C...

Herbs and Vegetables Gardening

Last year, I tried planting Parsley on my backyard and I was happy how much I harvest. I dried all of it and use it all on my cooking for the whole winter. So I thought of planting more this year. I started it from seed and add tomatoes and bell peppers.

Funny but it's all mixed up. Now I don't know which one are  tomatoes or bell peppers. I guess I have to wait until the fruit come out.
And on the farther back of my backyard, I planted some onion and garlic. However, the garlic hasn't come out yet or will it ever come out at all. I was told that garlic hate weed and this part of my backyard has a lot of weed where I am struggling to get rid off.

Anyway, hubby and I are planning to put a fence on this part of our backyard and make it a mini farm. I am planning to put a lot of onions, Lavender, Rosemary and some perennial herbs. I am planning to buy two big pots for the garlic to put on this this part of the backyard so it will have less weed.

Seeing how the Onion grow makes me so excited to plant more to use on my cooking.

This year, I will try making my own essential oil and if I am successful on making it, I'll make sure to plant more Lavender and Rosemary because these are the two herbs that I love. Maybe a little of chamomile and Peppermint !!!'
I love gardening, I wasted so much time working so hard to make money. I didn't know that there are so much more happiness in many simple ways.

DIY White Outdoor Chairs

I was so happy when I painted one of my old Kitchen Chair from maple to white color, last year for my front patio. This year, I wanted two White Chairs on my front patio, so I painted the other one.
I put some of my Indoor Plants around it and I was so happy how my front patio look.

People spend too much money to make their home looks nice. It's ok if you have the budget, but for someone whose budget is tight, DIY is a big help. Just a little work and you can have a nice looking home..,,

My Backyard Wooden Sign

I was Just at home 🏡 last Thursday and I was so happy that I was able to make my DIY Wood Sign for my backyard. With a little help from Hubby to cut the old big wood lurking around my backyard, into two pieces. I stained one of them and put my custom words on it. I Ask hubby again to put holes so I can hang it!!!  Wolaaa, unprofessionally made Wooden Sign!!! Hahaha... I saw this kind worth more than $60 each.., Hellllo!!!????

Well we are actually planning to make this part of my backyard to be a Mini Farm for some herb 🌿 and vegetables 🥒 next year. I just thought of making this Wooden Sign board saying "MINI FARM" now because I am pretty excited both on making the sign and making this part of my backyard, a mini farm. Besides, I already planted some herbs and vegetables on my backyard.

So why will I spend hundred of dollars for something I can make from old stuff???

Whole Wheat Naan For Breakfast

We are actually Filipino family but I simply love Naan and making one, made from Whole Wheat flour makes it more delicious and healthier. It's fills me up!!!
Ever since I started eating Whole Wheat Naan for breakfast and sometimes for lunch everyday, my vowel movement becomes normal.

Whole Wheat is packed with nutrients, including protein, fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and trace minerals (iron, zinc, copper, and magnesium). It has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and some forms of cancer.

I just love having my Whole Wheat Naan for breakfast in my small kitchen, overlooking at my backyard. It is so relaxing !!!

Why Have Indoor Plants

I just transferred some of my Indoor Plants in a bigger pot. And leaves are growing greener and bigger. I love looking at my Indoor Plants.

I am planning to add few more plants to grow Indoor like Lavender, Red Bell Pepper, Onion and Garlic.
Why I love having Indoor Plants ??? Not only that it is beautiful and refreshing to look at but also for it's health benefits.

 ðŸ’ðŸŽðŸ€Because plants have large surface areas and exchange gases and water with their surroundings, so particular benefits of interior plants include;

*Reducing carbon dioxide levels
*Increasing humidity
*Reducing levels of certain pollutants, such as benzene and nitrogen dioxide
*Reducing airborne dust levels
*Keeping air temperatures down

What about you, do you like growing Indoor a Plants?
