Rustic Clock

I just purchased this big Rustic Clock to replace the small green Rustic Clock. I like to place the clock on this spot of my house where I can track the time I spend when I am Cross Stitching.

I just love the Rustic Cottage Farm feel in my house. It feels relaxing after working in and out of the house.

A lot of people like the modern feel where it looks and feel like dancing and partying. I prefer the relaxing feel of Cottage with Rustic touch around my house.

Cottage Rustic Farm Feel

I purchased this new milky white pitcher that I use as a flower pot and put it on my basement kitchen

I can see some posts showing their Modern design house. It's nice but we all have our own style right???

I prefer the cottage feel in my house because it feels like I am having a vacation after working in and out of the house. I believe that house should be a resting place.

Modern house design especially those with so much bling and too black, feels like it's a party time!!!

And there is this house design where the house is too small for a Royal style design furniture. It looks so TRYING hard to look rich!!!

Oh well, that's them and this is me!!

Why Vacuum Everyday???

This is how much dirt my vacuum Cleaner collects every morning when I vacuum the main floor only. Not to mention that I just vacuum yesterday afternoon, about 5pm, after I cook.

I have two medium size dogs, one mix Pomeranian and One Beagle, which is the main reason why I vacuum one to two times a day and sometime 3 especially during shedding season.

But if you have no pet at home, I still recommend vacuuming at least 2 to 3 times a week to help keep your house clean. It all depends on how much people live inside the house and how often people go in and out of the house.

I also recommend deep cleaning of the entire house at least two times a month.

Reusable Napkins To Save Money

I am so happy looking at the toilet tissue on my washroom. Do you know that I use one roll per week? Yes, just me!!! I know that it's just me, because it's only me and hubby using our washroom and obviously he is not using it.

These two rolls of tissue, plus the one on the tissue dispenser has been sitting there for three weeks now. Because it's been three weeks now since I started making and using my reusable tissue in a box
I found another old t-shirt so I made another batch of reusable tissue to put on my tissue box. So now, I don't have to worry about running out when I can't wash everything on time.
I really love the money I am saving by using my time efficiently.

Simple Toilet Bowl Cleaner Recipe

Finally, the last Vim Cream that I use as toilet bowl cleaner is done!!!! I can now start using a very simple Natural Toilet Bowl Cleaner recipe.

1 Cup Vinegar
1/2 Cup Baking Soda

1. Mix in a bowl
2. When the bubbles are gone, pour into a squirt container
3. Shake every time you use as it separates.

Yes, a very simple, easy, fast, cheap and safe recipe !!!

Now, I can use it everyday without worrying the expenses of buying another one from the store that is not only expensive but full of harmful chemicals.

You can use I Cup of bleach or Hydrogen Peroxide once a week.

Back Using The Dishwasher

As I've said on one of my post, I am back to using my Dushwasher on a regular daily basis,

The first chore I do in the morning is to empty the Dishwasher and put all the clean dishes on it's designated places, nicely and neatly. I always using a drying cloth to make sure that all my cabinets and drawers are dry.

I run Dishwasher before I go to bed with all dirty dishes.

I still have some Cascade sacket and I can't wait to finish them all so I can start using Heavy Mix Pink Solution as my Dishwasher Detergent.

Isn't it nice not to worry buying another batch of Dishwasher Cleaner???

Preserving Garlic

I recently posted about Preserving Ginger so I thought my not preserve Garlic too?

Like Ginger, I always end up throwing spoiled Garlic so I thought of doing it too.

I simply grind it using my food processor and put it in a Ziploc plastic bag. And when ready to use, simply crack a portion for cooking.

Tomatoe Sauce From Fresh Tomatoes

I have been making my Homemade Natural skin care and cleaning products so why not make Homemade food products instead of can or bottles food products to avoid preservative, like Tomatoe Sauce. Yes, I successfully made my own Homemade Tomatoe Sauce from fresh Tomatoes,

1. I boiled the batch of fresh tomatoes until the skin cracked then let it cool.

2. When it's cold, I started peeling off the skin.

3. Then I chopped it using a Food Processor.

4. I put it on a clean pot and start cooking it for about an hour then put 1/4 Cup of Lemon.

5. I added some herbs for flavour!!!!

I made Lasagna using my own Tomatoe Sauce... and I am so happy,

I will buy more Tomatoes and use my own Homemade Tomatoe Sauce on my cooking from now on!!!

Spring Cleaning with Pink Solution

If you havent't done your Spring Cleaning, well this is the best time because the weather is great. For me, this is the best day because kids are gone to school and I have all day at home.

Using Pink Solution Heavy Mix with few drops of Citronella Essential Oil for bugs and insects to clean all my windows. No more chemicals!!!
I also declutted my Freezer for more room. It's the only way NOT to use the small freezer in the basement.
I don't know why we have to buy a small freezer when our house is sorrounded by grocery stores. I can always run to buy things I need for cooking... What I life when I looked my stressful life back then.

What about you, when will do your Spring Cleaning???

Preserving Ginger

I only use Ginger once in a while on my cooking but I always buy it in a pack since it's cheaper so I always end up throwing spoiled Ginger from my friend. A friend teach me how to preserve Ginger.

1. Peel (cut into cubes is optional)

2. Grind (Food Processor)
3. Flattened in a Ziploc
4. Put into freezer and simply crack a portion when needed

Ginger is not really expensive but I don't like throwing food!!!
